This was done by projecting the image on to a large sheet of photo paper in the dark through the camera then printing the image and replacing it in front of the camera then Artist Annie Millar painted over the image. The fish bowl was then placed on the painting the fish added and the shot taken on film. The leaf and brush were in 3d to create the overlap. the edges of the bowl wre painted to further create the illusion
A bottle was drilled and pressurised till the silicone ice stopper shot out and the slpash triggerd a Mazof infra red beam cauisng my lights to flash and freeze the moment.
This is a reflection of a tulip in a sheet of mirror card. no photoshop then.

The peaches in 3d cut outs to create the overlap. the edges of the bowl were painted to further create the illusion. The bottle and the glass are real. The technique was developed further and used for Sindy dolls packaging.
I stepped into a sand pit first then positioned a small child 's print in mine.This was used a a library shot.
